Roger McGough received an OBE in 1997, the Signal Award in 1984 and 1998, and the Freedom of the City of Liverpool in 2001. Lydia Monk's picture book "I Wish I Were a Dog" won the Smarties Prize Bronze Medal in 1999.

Roger McGough was first published in the 1960s in THE MERSEY SOUND. He is one of today's most popular poets, writing for children & adults & performing his work all over the world. He received an OBE in 1997, the Signal Award in 1984 & 1998 and was honoured with the Freedom of the City of Liverpool in 2001. Roger lives in London. Lydia Monks has worked in the media and as a freelance designer. She won the Smarties Prize Bronze Medal in 1999 for I WISH I WERE A DOG. Lydia lives in Sheffield.
